Gorgeous furnished 2 storey house conveniently located within walking distance of UCB campus, UCB affiliates, UCB campus shuttles, LBNL and MSRI/Space Sciences Institute shuttles, Farmers Market, shopping, and Bart train to San Francisco. Several private schools e.g. Montessori, Berkwood Hedge, and public schools close by. Public schools include Washington Elementary School just around the corner, Berkeley High School across the street, and King Junior High, a short walk or bicycle ride.
1st floor - consists of Living Room, a separate, formal Dining Room - great for entertaining, 1 bathroom with shower, sink & toilet, shared coin-op laundry room. Leased washer & dryer), fully-equipped, galley style kitchen with large refrigerator, dishwasher, gas stove/oven with range hood, microwave, coffee maker, utensils and dishes.
2nd floor - has 3 bedrooms with 2nd bathroom. Master bedroom has a skylight and queen-size bed. 2nd & 3rd bedrooms each have a twin-size bed. Luxury linens, high speed Internet (both Ethernet and wireless). 3rd bedroom with single (twin-size) bed has a private deck. Upstairs bathroom has tub, shower, toilet and sink.
Rent is $5300 per month plus security deposit of $5300. Rent does not include utilities, but Owner pays for all utilities - water, gas/electricity, high speed unlimited Internet, refuse and recycling pickup, and does not charge tenants. Owner lives onsite, very responsive and efficient in arranging for fixes when/if are needed.
The location is a big draw. The house provides comfort and convenience since it's within a short distance of campus, public transportation, shopping (Berkeley Bowl and Trader Joe's are close by), recreational and cultural attractions (parks, hiking trails, theaters- Berkeley Repertory & Aurora Theater Company, California Jazz Conservatory and the Berkeley Art Museum and Pacific Film Archives).
Shared coin-op laundry and refuse/recycling bins. Absolutely no smokers, no animals. All utilities (water, gas/electricity, refuse collection, Internet) are paid by Owner-landlord. Owner also pays for quarterly cleaning of refuse, compost and recycling bins.
